Chris Handley, Neighbor

For over two decades, Chris Handley has produced advertising and design for agencies and corporations throughout the US.

He began his career in St. Louis in 1989, as a graphic designer, where he mastered typography and desktop publishing skills while serving some of the top advertising and design firms in the city.

After his start in St. Louis, the blue waters of Hawaii called. Handley became art director for Honolulu’s largest advertising agency, Starr Seigle McCombs. 

A move to Atlanta in 1995 led to the opportunity to become an entrepreneur. Today, Handley is creative director for Snowball Creative Group, a company that brings specialized design services to clients.

Handley enjoys applying his creative approach to a variety of activities, including photography, cooking, playing guitar, and figure drawing.

A Golden Key National Honor Society graduate of Southern Illinois University-Carbondale, Handley earned a bachelor’s degree in Visual Communication–Design.

Some of Handley’s popular images are those with more severe cropping, which create more tension and excitement. The photography showcases his travels to Italy, landscapes and architectural accents, local Georgia mountains, vineyards, and the historic districts of Charleston and Elfreth’s Alley in Philadelphia. Some of the photos are High Dynamic Range (HDR) images that are comprised of multiple exposures.

Handley began entering photo competitions in September of 2009 and has earned over two dozen awards.
