33 Years and Still Going Strong – The Pennsylvania National Quilt Extravaganza Returns to the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center September 17 – 20, 2026Oaks, PA – Mancuso Show Management is proud to present the 33rd annual Pennsylvania National Quilt Extravaganza. The Greater Philadelphia Expo Center will host this spectacular event September 17 - September 20, 2026 featuring over 1000 works of textile art. Additionally, the festival offers vendors, hands on workshops, lectures, a fashion show and product demos. Pennsylvania National Quilt Extravaganza is the center of it all for quilt, wearable and textile art! A highlight of this year’s event is a special exhibition by 7-time Tony Award-winning actor and playwright Harvey Fierstein. Best known for writing La Cage aux Folles and Kinky Boots and starring as Edna in Hairspray, Harvey has been making quilts for more than 30 years. During the COVID lockdown, his passion for quilting flourished, inspiring a remarkable collection of quilt art that the Extravaganza is thrilled to premiere. In addition, the festival will display over 30 special exhibitions from regional guilds such as the Philadelphia Modern Quilt Guild, PieceMakers Quilters and the Sankofa Artisans, travelling quilt collections and the annual national judged competition. Once again Mancuso Show Management sponsored the juried exhibition, Celebration of Women: A Quilter’s Perspective with a portion of the entry fees going to A Woman’s Place (AWP), the only domestic violence community benefit organization in Bucks County, PA. Shopping is a must at the event Merchant’s Mall with a diverse assortment of vendors selling sewing machines, fabric, wool, clothing, notions and more. Attendees can sit in on, at no additional charge, several midday lectures and product demonstrations. Back by popular demand are Fashion Friday, an attendee-driven fashion show, and Sticker Saturday, where collecting stickers can earn you a prize. New this year, the Brandywine Rug Hooking Guild will offer rug hooking demonstrations throughout the event. Quilters and textile artists can also preregister for workshops taught by a nationally recognized faculty. This year’s event is sponsored by Major Sponsors: BERNINA/Hayes Sewing Machine Company, BERNINA Longarm/Domesticity, Brother/Byrne Sewing, Baby Lock/Hayes Sewing Machine Company, Janome/Pocono Sew &amp; Vac and Husqvarna Viking &amp; Pfaff/Sew ‘n Place. Open to the public, show tickets can be purchased on-site. General admission is $18 and includes re-admission for all days. Sunday only general admission is $16. Accompanied children under the age of 16 are admitted free. Discounted tickets for groups of 20 or more can be arranged by contacting our office at (215) 862-5828. The Extravaganza’s daily hours are Thursday through Saturday 10:00 am to 5:00 pm and Sunday 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.

The open house class instruction will be in English, with approximately half of the repertoire in Chinese and half in English or other languages. Join us for a special presentation on the recent historical analysis and research on the various markings carved into the woodwork of Historic Old Trappe Church.&nbsp; Special Guest presenters Beth Houting, Executive Director at Schwenkfelder Library and Heritage Center, and Scott Houting, Curator and Executive Director of the Peter Wentz Farmstead, will present their findings on the names, dates, and various other markings peppered throughout the church as well as the context and historical significance.&nbsp; Come discover the untold stories of Old Trappe Church and a rather unique aspect to this historical building.&nbsp; The presentation and luncheon will follow the 10:30 AM service.&nbsp; All are welcome - Hope to see you there!

Sunday, September 20th is Community Day at the John James Audubon Center. Everyone is invited to enjoy food, drinks, and music as we celebrate cultural connections to nature, fall migration, and birds’ unique ability to unite us all.
Festivities will include traditional Mexican folk dance, classical Indian dance, activities for kids, bird-themed facepainting and henna tattoos, food trucks, local breweries, canoeing, and more!
This year’s Community Day will also coincide with our new fall/winter art exhibit. Tree of Life is a solo exhibition by Natessa Amin featuring bird-inspired artworks from her Split Inheritance series. The project considers the "tree of life" as a symbol that&nbsp;appears across cultures, generations, and histories.

The Chorister Academy at Augustus is one of the best ways in the Philadelphia region to provide your child with a tuition-free, world-class music education.

Our highly-regarded chorister program provides children and youth ages 7 - 17 with outstanding professional choral training, music theory instruction, leadership development, choir camps and trips. No previous musical experience is required, only an eagerness to learn and the ability to match pitch.

The Chorister Academy is open to families of all faith backgrounds and walks of life. Choristers, through their shared pursuit of musical excellence, develop focus, empathy, and teamwork skills as they build lasting friendships along the way.

During the academic year, choristers rehearse on Thursday afternoons from 4:00-5:30 and on Sunday mornings at 9:30, before the 10:30 service of Holy Communion. Choristers are trained to sing on a professional level and join adults in the Augustus Parish Choir to form a cohesive intergenerational choir. The choir sings a broad range of choral repertoire from the 16th century to present day.

We accept new students throughout the year but encourage families to register for the upcoming fall season, if possible.
