Chris Pfund is the founder of Pfundamental Consulting and former Chief Administrative Manager at WD Management LLC, based in Phoenix, AZ. Chris possesses excellent strength in multi-state business startups, business and financial operations, investor relations, coaching and change management, and strategic human resource planning and optimization.

Known for being a strategic business leader coupled with an entrepreneurial attitude, Chris Pfund has a proven track record of effectively supporting business needs through sophisticated planning and pioneering initiatives.

Chris Pfund’s career in healthcare has spanned the course of the last decade through hospice billing, human resources, and healthcare business operations. During this time, Chris earned his BS in Marketing in 2006 before obtaining his MBA in Human Resource Management and Health Systems Management from Grand Canyon University in 2011. As of 2018, Chris successfully obtained his Ph.D. in Industrial and Organizational Psychology.

From 2011 through 2014, Chris worked as a business partner and Chief Administrative Manager at Comprehensive Hospice and Palliative Care where he delivered innovative, efficient, and effective HR programs and services in the areas of talent management, organizational and performance management, and training and development among other business operation accomplishments.

Beginning in 2014, Chris was a business partner and the Chief Administrative Manager for WD Management LLC. During his tenure at WD, an organization that owned and operated hospice companies in Arizona, Colorado, and Idaho, he was responsible for leadership, management, and vision necessary to ensure the company had the proper operation controls, administrative and reporting procedures, human capital in place to effectively grow the organization, and ensured the financial strength and operating efficiency of the organization.

Chris has executed new businesses from startup to Medicare certification in four months, compared to the industry average of greater than one year and sustained startup costs under $800K compared to the industry average of $1M to $2M. One of the shining accomplishments from Chris’s tenure with WD was his ability to grow their workforce from 2 to 90 employees in three states in a three year period by recruiting physicians, nurses, social workers, chaplains, nursing aides, and administrative staff.
