Trumbull Congregational Church

The months leading up to the holiday season can be a hectic time of year, but for anyone looking to enjoy a weekly mini-getaway from such hustle and bustle, Trumbull Congregational Church has the perfect answer. In response to popular demand, the church has renewed its “Wellness Wednesdays at TCC” series, which features a variety of different activities aimed at addressing the mind, body and spirit. They include meditation classes and gentle yoga sessions, as well as creative workshops such as mandala painting with <a href="https://www.instagram.com/mindfulmandalasbymichelle?stkn=MTlxZnpwamY5YjAzZQ%3D%3D&amp;utm_source=qr" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Mindful Mandalas By Michelle</a> and flower arranging with <a href="https://bloomncompany.com/collections/fresh-flowers?utm_source=ig&amp;utm_medium=social&amp;utm_content=link_in_bio&amp;fbclid=PAdGRleAUiygxleHRuA2FlbQIxMQBwZG9mAmZkaWQWUPG-mAcPP_hebnTV0re7zLodbKafe3NydGMGYXBwX2lkDzEyNDAyNDU3NDI4NzQxNAABp6cYxjOzA71_74YESvFsgNJ2-vLolmQCNbBXuk1EzgwpqsINmxUQFbe5FIMj_aem_Y3mWrBXhnYg20wnVjkQIPQ" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Bloom &amp; Co.</a> There’s even a community cookie swap shortly before Christmas.
The secular programs, which are scheduled through December 16 and take place at the church at 3115 Reservoir Avenue, are open to all members of the community, and require no prior experience in any of the activities.
“The overall aim of this series is to enable participants to take a pause, unwind and connect with one another,” says Kirsten Nestro, a Trauma-informed Certified Instructor in Mindfulness Meditation who will be leading four of the sessions. “By giving attendees the chance to relax, learn and be creative, we hope they will leave feeling lighter and refreshed.”
The sessions, which all begin at 6 p.m., will run either one or two hours and cost between $10 and $65, depending on the activity.
