I am a proud mother of a wonderful daughter, Jade, who outwardly appears to be an average kid.  However, she is tough, dreams big, acts on her dreams with diligence, and gives generously of herself for the sake of others.

I would like her stories to reach as many other girls and parents as possible so that what my daughter has to say might inspire or encourage them.

I'll let my daughter speak about herself.

"My name is Jade Miller.  I am 12 years old and in 7th grade. I am a blogger, an avid reader, and I play the piano and flute. I am not sure whether to be an architect or a marine biologist, but I guess there's plenty of time to figure that out. I have been identified as gifted and talented in my school district. I have big dreams and am working to achieve them.

I will be a published author some time around June 2012, and my book will be available nationwide by then.  However, my books will be available for printing for family and friends starting in April 2012.

My book is based on the true story of a girl named Sybil in the American Revolution. Her father was a colonel in the militia, so when the British landed in the nearby town of Danbury, someone had to summon the militia. Sybil took up the call and risked her life that night.

I am linking some of my blog posts to Patch, but if you want to read all of my adventures, check out:

I want to use my blog, my life, and my book to inspire young people to believe they can do great things. My motto is "Strive for the Stars" which sums up my blog goal. I hope that by inspiring them, they can see my awesome, loving, caring, cool, awesome, awesome, awesome God in the same way that I do.
