Saturday, May 9th - 8AM to 2PM...RAIN OR SHINE...Flea Market sponsored by the United Women in Faith (UMW) at Havertown United Methodist Church - Union Campus, 200 Brookline Blvd., Havertown.&nbsp; More than 30 vendors will have tables inside and outside offering Spring plants and flowers for your garden from John "the plantman," Tom's Pure Honey of Brookhaven, small appliances, handmade gifts, and many household and attic treasures...The Soup Luncheon will feature the women's famous homemade vegetable soup, hotdogs, meatball sandwiches, side dishes, desserts and beverages. Once again there will be a Baked Goods table with soft pretzels and delicious homemade treats to take home. The soup will also be available for purchase in jars (always a sellout- come early).&nbsp; All proceeds support the women's mission projects at home and around the world. Curious about new technology but not sure where to start? Wayne Senior Center invites the community to its first-ever Community Tech Fair on Wednesday, May 13, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at 108 Station Road, Wayne.
This free event is designed to make technology approachable, practical, and fun for all ages. Visitors can explore interactive tables, live demonstrations, community resources, and short presentations featuring technology that can support everyday life, creativity, health, and independence.
Topics and demonstrations will include:
<ul><li>3D printing</li><li>Health and wellness technology</li><li>Digital art</li><li>Assistive technology</li><li>Smart devices</li><li>In-home tech support resources</li><li>Free local technology services</li></ul>
Attendees will also have the opportunity to connect with local organizations, ask questions, enjoy light refreshments, and discover helpful tools they may not know are available right here in the community.
Beginning at 12:00 p.m., Wayne Senior Center staff and volunteers will offer one-on-one tech help, giving participants the chance to get personalized assistance with phones, tablets, apps, and everyday tech questions.
Whether you’re interested in learning something new, exploring helpful resources, or simply seeing what technology can do, this event offers something for everyone.

Solarize Delco Launches Community Solar Grant for Delaware County Nonprofits&nbsp;Grants of up to $20,000 available to help mission-driven organizations reduce&nbsp;energy costs and go solar
DELAWARE COUNTY, PA &mdash; Solarize Delco, a nonprofit solar education and advocacy organization serving Delaware County, Pennsylvania, has launched a community grant program to help local nonprofit organizations go solar. Grants cover up to 50% of the cost of a solar photovoltaic (PV) installation, up to a maximum of $20,000 per organization, and are available now while funds last. &ldquo;Solarize Delco exists to make solar accessible to everyone in Delaware County. Nonprofits are often doing the most essential work in our communities &mdash; feeding families, supporting children, serving our neighbors in need &mdash; while operating on the tightest budgets. Every dollar we can free up from their energy bill is a dollar that goes back into their programs. That&rsquo;s why this grant exists.&rdquo; &mdash; Solarize Delco Solar energy offers nonprofits a rare combination: a meaningful reduction in operating costs, a hedge against rising utility rates, and a visible demonstration of commitment to the community and environment. For many organizations, however, the upfront cost of installation has been a barrier. This grant is designed to change that. The grant program is part of Solarize Delco&rsquo;s broader mission to advance clean energy adoption across the county. As a no-pressure, no-sales advocacy organization, Solarize Delco provides education and guidance to help organizations navigate the solar process with confidence &mdash; from understanding their options to reviewing installer proposals &mdash; with no financial stake in the outcome.
Grant Details and Eligibility The Solarize Delco Community Solar Grant is open to qualifying organizations that meet all of&nbsp;the following criteria: &bull; Nonprofit status: Qualified 501(c)(3) organization in good standing &bull; Location: Operating in Delaware County, Pennsylvania &bull; Mission: Provides direct social services to the local community &mdash; such as food access,&nbsp;shelter, health services, education, or similar programs that directly benefit Delaware&nbsp;County residents &bull; Property ownership: Owns the property on which the solar installation will be located &bull; Site suitability: Property has an adequate location for a solar array, whether rooftop or&nbsp;ground-mounted &bull; Grant Amount: Up to 50% of total solar installation cost, maximum $20,000 per organization. Grants are awarded on a rolling basis while funds remain available. Organizations are encouraged to apply early. Solarize Delco is also available to answer questions about&nbsp;eligibility, the application process, or solar energy generally.
