Iron Girl Project, Neighbor

The Iron Girl Project is a nonprofit organization dedicated to honoring the memory of Alexea "Lex" Karpinski by inspiring student-athletes to lead with grit, tenacity, and humility. Its primary mission is to empower these young leaders to create a lasting, positive impact within their teams and communities while pursuing their own unique legacies. Through community fundraising events, the project raises money to award New Jersey high school student-athletes with the Alexea G. Karpinski Memorial Scholarship Fund (https://www.irongirlproject.org/scholarship) to support their continued education. Each annual award is for $2,253, a symbolic amount representing the jersey numbers Lex wore as a standout field hockey and lacrosse goalie.
