Born in Toronto, Canada, Chef Darlene B realized she had a passion for cooking and entertaining at an early age. It all started when Darlene took an interest in the happenings of her childhood home’s Caribbean kitchen. Her mother worked tirelessly to recreate the cuisine she knew from her native Jamaica for her family and Darlene marvelled and was inspired. Today, Chef Darlene B uses that same inspiration to create her very own Caribbean Fusion cuisine. She believes her food is a reflection of who she is and everything she loves. Chef Darlene B is extremely passionate about using the freshest ingredients to make the most flavorful of food . Chef Darlene B has been a culinary professional for over a decade. After receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications, Darlene B decided to follow her passion and go to culinary school. It has been one of the best decisions of her life to follow her dream. She has worked for hotels, corporate kitchens, caterers and restaurants. Chef Darlene B and her fare have been featured on WTNH’s CT Style, News 12’s Our Lives and Pet Talk. Darlene also has a passion for "ethnic" foods and it is her desire to hightlight those restaurants and kitchens that celebrate peoples cultures and love for their home country or nationality.
