I am the creator of the MyFlexiblePencil.com blog.  I created the blog in March of 2010 as a vehicle to express my thoughts on excellence in project management, planning, analysis and - perhaps most importantly - improving workplace culture. Over time, I realized that those same concepts also influenced family life and, in turn family life influenced work. As a result, the blog's focus expanded to include both "work" and "life" observations. My background in planning, measurement and analysis of project cost & schedule metrics are frequently discussed, as are my views on the ideal workplace which are heavily influenced by Lean principles & the Shingo model for Operational Excellence.

<br>I hold a Master of Arts in Comparative Political Science from Penn State and an MBA from Rivier College.  I currently live in Litchfield with my wife and 2 sons.
