On Saturday, Sept. 12th, spend the beautiful fall morning at Collegeville’s 14th legendary Colossal Yard Sale! The event, which runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Waterworks Park at 220 West First Ave. in Trappe, features over 80 sellers set up along tree-shaded paths in a 17-acre park. 
They will be selling household items, kids’ toys, games and clothes, baby gear, tools, books, jewelry, furniture, vintage items, antiques, collectibles and much more! The sale is handicapped accessible, there is free parking for shoppers and a playground for kids. This annual event has been attracting over 3,000 shoppers each year.

Tredyffrin Township Arts Commission

The Tredyffrin Township Arts Commission invites Chester and Montgomery County artists to submit work for Valley Forge — Then and Now, a Juried Exhibition at the Tredyffrin Township Building.

The exhibition celebrates Valley Forge National Historical Park in conjunction with America's 250th anniversary. Artists are encouraged to interpret the theme broadly — historic, contemporary, natural, or conceptual works all welcome.

Eligible media include photography, painting, drawing/works on paper, and mixed media. Works must be original, 2D, sized 8"x10" to 24"x36", framed/matted/gallery-wrapped, and easel-ready. One entry per artist.

• Notifications: September 20, 2026
• Artwork Drop-Off: October 2 | 12–2 PM
• Exhibition: October 5 – December 10, 2026

Join us for a special presentation on the recent historical analysis and research on the various markings carved into the woodwork of Historic Old Trappe Church.&nbsp; Special Guest presenters Beth Houting, Executive Director at Schwenkfelder Library and Heritage Center, and Scott Houting, Curator and Executive Director of the Peter Wentz Farmstead, will present their findings on the names, dates, and various other markings peppered throughout the church as well as the context and historical significance.&nbsp; Come discover the untold stories of Old Trappe Church and a rather unique aspect to this historical building.&nbsp; The presentation and luncheon will follow the 10:30 AM service.&nbsp; All are welcome - Hope to see you there!

The Chorister Academy at Augustus is one of the best ways in the Philadelphia region to provide your child with a tuition-free, world-class music education.

Our highly-regarded chorister program provides children and youth ages 7 - 17 with outstanding professional choral training, music theory instruction, leadership development, choir camps and trips. No previous musical experience is required, only an eagerness to learn and the ability to match pitch.

The Chorister Academy is open to families of all faith backgrounds and walks of life. Choristers, through their shared pursuit of musical excellence, develop focus, empathy, and teamwork skills as they build lasting friendships along the way.

During the academic year, choristers rehearse on Thursday afternoons from 4:00-5:30 and on Sunday mornings at 9:30, before the 10:30 service of Holy Communion. Choristers are trained to sing on a professional level and join adults in the Augustus Parish Choir to form a cohesive intergenerational choir. The choir sings a broad range of choral repertoire from the 16th century to present day.

We accept new students throughout the year but encourage families to register for the upcoming fall season, if possible. Alderfer Auction is expanding its local presence with the opening of a new satellite sales office in Wayne, PA, starting Wednesday, October 7th. Located at 303 West Lancaster Ave, Suite 2C (above The UPS Store), the office will be open weekly on Wednesdays from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Appointments are preferred, though walk-ins are welcome with a limit of two items. For larger collections, please arrange a dedicated in-home consultation. The Wayne office will be led by Allyson Babcock, an accredited member of the Appraisers Association of America with over 15 years of experience in the auction and appraising industry. A resident of the Main Line community with a background rooted in her family's decades-long antique business and a degree from Brown University, Allyson specializes in American Furniture, Fine Art, and decorative arts, providing USPAP-compliant appraisals for estate tax, insurance, and equitable distribution.
