The game of Contract Bridge is both my profession and my avocation. In addition to playing competitively, I love teaching the game, especially the play of the cards. The challenges a simple deck of cards can present offer a lifetime of fascination. Bridge has been a wonderful part of my whole family's life. My son recently started a bridge club at Monta Vista High School, and is busily training a team for the first ever Bay Area HS Bridge Championship this spring.

While I've always enjoyed seeing new players learn bridge, recently Youth Bridge has become my passion. In 2013, along with a wonderful group of volunteers, I helped found Silicon Valley Youth Bridge (SiVY Bridge), an all volunteer, non-profit organization with the mission to promote academic excellence in the areas of math, critical thinking and logic, to foster positive social interactions and teamwork, and to provide an opportunity for a lifetime of learning, enjoyment and community by inspiring the next generation of bridge players.
