OPEN AUDITIONS FOR THE SANTA SWITCH – FIRST&nbsp;TIME&nbsp;EVER&nbsp;IN&nbsp;CT
Broadway On Main Theatre Company and Cabaret on Main Theater are holding open auditions for The Santa Switch, a heartwarming new holiday jukebox musical making its first appearance in Connecticut this November.
Youth performers ages 9–17 and adults 18+ are invited to audition. All experience levels are welcome.
Santa has already been cast — now we need the rest of Christmas!
<h3>ABOUT THE SHOW</h3>
The Santa Switch combines an original holiday story with familiar hit songs audiences know and love, including:
<ul><li>Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree</li><li>A Holly Jolly Christmas</li><li>What a Wonderful World</li><li>Fight Song</li><li>Breakaway</li><li>Best Day of My Life</li><li>And many more</li></ul>
The production features principal roles for both youth and adult performers, along with a large youth and adult ensemble with numerous featured roles.

<h3>WHO CAN AUDITION?</h3>
Youth Performers: Ages 9–17 Adult Performers: Ages 18+
All experience levels are welcome.
<h3>PRINCIPAL ROLES</h3>
LUCY An energetic, optimistic aspiring artist. Vocal Range: G3–D5 Must be comfortable with contemporary mix/belt through D5.
JACK A charismatic New York advertising executive. Vocal Range: B♭2–B♭4.
MRS. CLAUS Warm, intelligent and ready to take charge. Vocal Range: A♭3–E5 Must be comfortable with contemporary mix/belt through E5.
RHUBARB Santa's hilarious and energetic Head Elf. Vocal Range: B3–E5 Must be comfortable with contemporary mix/belt through E5.
TOPHER Kind-hearted, sincere and full of Christmas spirit. Vocal Range: D3–E4.
Plus a large youth and adult ensemble with many featured roles.
<h3>AUDITION REQUIREMENTS</h3>
Please prepare one holiday song that best showcases your voice.
Bring your own backing track. No accompanist will be provided.
Performers may also be asked to read from the script and participate in a brief movement combination.
<h3>PERFORMANCE DATES</h3>
November 6–22, 2026
Performances will take place at Cabaret on Main Theater in East Haven.
This is an opportunity to be part of the cast introducing The Santa Switch to Connecticut community theater audiences for the first time and help us create what we hope will become a new holiday tradition.
