The Band

San Francisco Bay Area-based band Tablues plays a broad range of the blues and R&B. Formed in early 2013, the band is made up of experienced performers who bring a unique and personal approach to the blues. So take a stroll with us through Chicago, Memphis and New Orleans to a place a little beyond the tried and true… to Tablues.

Deb Devany — Lead vocals

For as long as she can remember, Deb has loved to sing — anything, anywhere. Growing up in Minneapolis, she performed mostly in church choirs and community chorales. In college, she did some lead vocals in a couple of small bands. After her daughter was born, Deb moved into lullabies, Raffi, and Wiggles. Her daughter is much grown now, so Deb is back to singing the blues she loves. Throw in some R&B, a little Jazz, Pop, Bluegrass, Country, even some Opera, and she’s good to go. Deb’s vocal influences include Bonnie Raitt, Lena Horn, Aretha Franklin, Patsy Cline and Doris Day (yes, Doris!). These days she’s back to singing anything and everything.
