The 8th Annual Gourmet By The Bay Fundraiser (GBTB) will take place on Saturday evening, August 15, at the Peter and Mary Interpretive Center in Newport Beach. GBTB is an event designed to delight the senses. Attendees will begin the evening sipping wine, beer, a featured drink, or other beverage while taking in spectacular views of Upper Newport Bay (the Bay) and listening to live music. They will savor dinner by Farm to Table catering, partake in GBTB's silent and live auctions and mingle with like-minded supporters of the Bay.
GBTB’s net proceeds benefit the Newport Bay Conservancy (NBC), a non-profit dedicated to protecting and preserving our Upper Newport the Bay and its watershed. Individuals and businesses are also invited to support GBTB and NBC with money and product donations in exchange for recognition and other benefits.

Newport Spirit Run is a 42-year Newport Beach tradition that presents running and walking events for every age from toddlers to seniors, and every fitness level, from elite runners to walkers.&nbsp; An event day expo includes a food truck, live music, youth activities, fitness information, shopping and more.
The 2026 Spirit Run is expanding in a major way:
· &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Relocating from Fashion Island to Newport Dunes Waterfront Resort;·&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;featuring race courses that traverse Upper Newport Bay (the Bay);·&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;adding&nbsp;the first half marathon at the Bay in more than 20 years for adults alongside its 5k and mile distances for adults, kids and families;
· &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; a Beach Dash on the sand next to the Bay for ages 4 to 6 and a Toddler Trot for ages 1 to 3; and
·&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;welcoming the Newport Bay Conservancy as a beneficiary and to bring an environmental focus to the event. Newport Spirit Run will be an environmentally sustainable event featuring measures to reduce waste and promote environmental awareness, particularly around the Bay.
Net proceeds from the Spirit Run will benefit local schools, youth sports programs, other youth causes, and the Newport Bay Conservancy.
