Dorothy Mathis, Neighbor

Dorothy Mathis is focused on setting a high standard in the mortgage industry by providing sound advice and exceptional customer service at the most competitive prices.  She began her mortgage career in 1977 after obtaining a B.S. in Agriculture from Iowa State University.  Dorothy’s 19 years with the USDA and 11 years directly engaged in conventional mortgages; making farm loans and drafting housing procedures in addition to her appraisal experience and training background enable her to design strategic mortgage options.  She specializes in simplifying the mortgage process so her clients are empowered to achieve their financial goals and equity objectives.

She is also licensed to provide property & quality health, life and long term care insurance for her clients.

More than 100 years ago, Dorothy’s family settled in northern Polk County where she has lived most of her life. An Ankeny resident she is active in the Ankeny Writers Group, the Ankeny Christian Church and Metanoia Women’s’ Retreat. As author, speaker and facilitator she is leading a movement, helping people learn to age joyfully.  She travels through Central Iowa putting on dynamic and engaging presentations highlighting the lives of her vivacious elder friends.
