The Emerson D.Q. was established in 1952 and purchased from its original owner in 1963 by the late Frank Plantamura.  The store is now owned/operated by his daughter Toni, and her husband Robert. 
The Plantamura family is the oldest family in Dairy Queen in New Jersey – since 1951 – with continuous operating in the businesses. It is a milestone to be in a family-owned and operated business for over 60 years and is rewarding to earn a living and serve a product that makes people happy!

Just named the #1 Best Live Theater Venue in 2026 by&nbsp;(201) Magazine, Bergen County Players (BCP) invites the public to go beyond the footlights for a day of live performances, interactive workshops, and the highly anticipated reveal of their next season.
A Musical Homecoming: 35 Years of Hits The afternoon’s centerpieces are two Mainstage Concerts at 12:00 PM and 3:00 PM. In a rare theatrical event, original BCP performers from the past three decades return to the stage to reprise powerhouse songs from the shows that have help defined the company’s history.
Lore and Legends: Guided Backstage Tours Rolling tours will depart from the lounge throughout the day. Led by BCP veterans, these guided journeys explore the building’s storied past—from its origin as a functional firehouse to its modern evolution—complete with creative secrets and a few legendary ghost stories.
The “Backstage Pass” Experience Visitors can participate in a Scavenger Hunt through the theater’s hidden corners—including the wardrobe room, lighting booth, and set shop. Participants who complete the challenge will be entered to win a raffle for tickets to the upcoming 2026-27 season. Interactive stations include:
<ul><li>The Costume Alcove:&nbsp;A "step and repeat" photo op featuring authentic Broadway-style wardrobe pieces.</li><li>Masterclasses:&nbsp;Short sessions on audition techniques, set design, and choreography.</li><li>Improv 101:&nbsp;Fast-paced theater games for all ages.</li></ul>
The Big Reveal &amp; Insider Perks The day culminates at 3:30 PM with the&nbsp;2026-2027 Season Launch, where BCP will officially unveil its next lineup of blockbusters, comedies, and dramas.
Throughout the day, the BCP Lounge will offer complimentary refreshments and a Sparkling Cider Toast. Guests can also access a “Today Only” Box Office discount for the current season’s final hits,&nbsp;The 39 Steps&nbsp;and&nbsp;Kodachrome.

Downtown Nyack, NY 

The Nyack Famous Street Fair will be returning on Sunday, May 17 from 10 to 5 in downtown Nyack. This is the ultimate shopping and dining event you do not want to miss. The fair features over three hundred exhibitors, from four states with arts, crafts, new retail, home décor, and unique gifts set up in tents lining Main, Broadway and Cedar Streets. For the foodie’s festival foods of all kinds will be available including food trucks. Music will be located at the Gazebo on Main Street. Be sure to stop by the great restaurants and outdoor cafes with many offering fair specials. Nyack’s unique shops and boutiques are a must see. This is a not to be missed fun family day with something for everyone. 
The fair is held rain or shine. No pets please. The Nyack Famous Street Fair has been held for over 50 years and has become a much-anticipated event that is looked forward to year after year.
