“Ultimately, I try to bestow in patients a sense of empowerment over their own health and quality of life.  I am a resource and guide to help them understand their body, how to care for it and make it thrive.”

Prior to working at SageMED, I practiced family medicine for three years in Fairbanks, Alaska.  I treated a wide range of patients from pediatrics to geriatrics; but have a true passion for: pain management techniques, adrenal and thyroid dysfunction, detoxification protocols, chronic degenerative diseases, insomnia and men’s health.  While in Alaska, I spearheaded a “Vitamin D Initiative”, which educated people about the risks and prevalence of deficiency, promoted affordable testing and laid down the framework for studying the effects of supplementation.  I was also highly invested in the local community, serving as a Board of Directors member for the only organic grocery co-op in the interior of Alaska.  I authored several articles in local publications, and was the highlight speaker for numerous events and organizational meetings.  I also spent many hours volunteering his services at various athletic events.

Before medicine, I graduated with a bachelor of science at the top of his kinesiology and sports medicine class.  After graduation, I was awarded the prestigious internship with Dr. Kenneth Cooper, MD, "Father of Aerobics" at the Cooper Institute for Aerobic Research and Fitness Center in Dallas, Texas.  After this, I went on to manage several health and wellness facilities, focused personal training on at-risk populations (diabetes, pregnancy, cardiac rehab, etc.) and continued providing injury care to college-prep sports teams.
