Northern California PET Imaging Center (NCPIC) was established in 1992 as a not-for-profit community benefit organization. The organization was the first freestanding outpatient PET center in the nation, with the first whole-body PET scanner, and was designed to provide the local community with the most advanced molecular imaging technologies available.

NCPIC has established itself among the most prestigious imaging centers in the nation, with an impressive medical staff made up of physicians specially trained and solely focused on PET and CT molecular imaging. In addition to growing its reputation, NCPIC has also enhanced its service offerings to include an array of the latest molecular scan technologies to assist in the detection and diagnosis of several illnesses including cancer.

NCPIC continues to be the innovative leader in molecular imaging by establishing the regions first private radiochemistry lab, Optimal Tracers, dedicated to clinical research.
