Long Branch Concordance Family Success Center, Neighbor

The Long Branch Concordance and its Family Success Center provides services relevant to and focused on family sustainability and economic self-sufficiency as carried out through our mission: finding resources for people in need, fostering individual and family development and creating partnerships for community well-being. The Center is community-based, family-focused resource center available to any community resident in need of family support, information, and services. We are a bridge of support for families before they find themselves in crisis and assistance once they are. We provide workshops and programs such as English as a Second Language, Building Babies Brain, financial and budget workshops, library tour, health & nutrition, healthy relationships, to name a few. We partner with the City of Long Branch to host more than 30 families at our 7th Avenue Community garden. We work closely with parents and children as they learn to cultivate and harvest organic fruits and vegetables and prepare and store healthy meals. Our outreach includes a Strengthening Families Community Garden Kick-off, Multi-Cultural Thanksgiving Fest and Back to School Health Fair where we distribute more than 300 new backpacks filled with new school supplies.
