The beloved New England road race tradition delivers a top-notch experience with great attention to detail to support the safety and enjoyment of participants, volunteers and spectators with well supported courses, thorough medical and security services and a great celebration. Be inspired in Hartford with a glorious start in front of the majestic Capitol. Marathon and half marathon courses venture into the welcoming neighborhoods of West Hartford, full of cheering race spectators, with a short pass through beautiful Elizabeth Park in West Hartford.
Marathoners veer off from half marathon participants and head over the Founders Bridge, traveling along the scenic East Hartford side of the river before hitting the rural and serene town roads of South Windsor, where the course highlights its quintessential New England charm. Journey back to Hartford to finish just past the Soldiers &amp; Sailors Memorial Arch in Bushnell Park and celebrate with food and music in the park and beer garden festivities.
The 13.1 mile course will split from the marathon in Hartford, about 8 miles in, before half marathoners enjoy a run along the river. The downtown Hartford finish delivers that joyous and memorable moment crossing under the Arch, along brilliantly colored mums lining the path.
The Charity 5K will run through downtown Hartford. Expect a fast race for competitive runners that also welcomes casual runners and walkers to accomplish goals finishing under the arch.
Those looking for a fun way to get in on the action together with others can enjoy the Team 26.2 Relay with options for 2-5 team members to run in legs along the marathon course.

UConn Student Recreation Center

The Husky Run &amp; Ruck offers a 10K run, 5K run/walk and untimed 1 mile walk that all start and end in the heart of UConn Storrs campus. Taking place on Veterans Day weekend, the event will honor those who have served. Through UConn’s Office of Veterans Affairs and Military Programs proceeds will provide scholarships for military and veteran students as well as benefit the Kyle Milliken Fund. The rolling courses explore campus and the rural Mansfield-Storrs area, with 10K runners tackling the infamous Bonemill loop. The challenging Bonemill course has long been a proving ground for runners and athletes at UConn. We encourage participants to run or ruck “Bonemill” in honor of Kyle Milliken, Navy SEAL and UConn track and field athlete who was killed in action.
Runners and walkers are both welcome in the 5K, which offers a taste of everything in the local area. The fitness walk is an untimed mile through the heart of campus. All courses will pass by the Ultimate Sacrifice Memorial on the Great Lawn.
Event participants will earn long sleeve technical shirts and enjoy post-race festivities taking place outside the UConn Student Recreation Center.
Kids Fun Run: Bring the whole family and enjoy the kids run with options of a ¼ mile or ½ mile (for kids ages 2-11)!

This festive family 5K tradition welcomes runners and walkers of all ages and abilities to celebrate the season as a community in the CLA Blue Back Mitten Run. The 3.1-mile road race winds through West Hartford’s decorated neighborhoods and past festive shop windows.
