With the glow of the big screen, the hum of conversation, and the simple joy of sharing a film outdoors, these evenings offer a relaxed and welcoming way to connect with friends, family, and neighbors in the heart of town.

On Friday, August 21, we'll be screening "Father of the Bride" (1991).
This movie is sponsored by <a href="https://ironbank.com/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">National Iron Bank</a>. Kitchen Céilí: Concert &amp; Contra Dance Saturday, August 22 4-5:30 pm


Kitchen Céilí is back with traditional music from Ireland, Scotland, and New England, and this time you're invited to dance!
No experience, no partner, and no rhythm required. Kitchen Céilí will teach the whole group the simple dance moves before the music starts, so everyone's ready to dance together during the performance. 
All ages, all skill levels. Easy to learn, easy to enjoy.
Registration required for this free event is required.

The Judy Black Memorial Park & Gardens / Seasonal Farmers Market

<a href="https://judyblackpark.org/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">The Judy Black Memorial Park and Gardens</a> welcomes multidisciplinary artist <a href="https://leoraarmstrong.com/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Leora Armstrong</a> and her exhibition, “The Hills Watched Us Arrive,” on view at the park beginning Thursday, Aug. 28. This show features Armstrong’s process-led works in drawing, painting and installation, rooted in a deep personal engagement with landscape, weather and ecological loss.
An opening reception will be held on Saturday, Aug. 29 from 3 to 5 p.m. This event is free and open to the public.
This show will remain on view until Sunday, Sept. 20, 2026. This will be an evening where the arts come alive. Your senses will be awakened by the showcase of talented local artists, including a pianist, a vocalist, Grammy-Award winning violinists, a poet and a painter.

<a href="https://judyblackpark.org/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">The Judy Black Memorial Park and Gardens</a> welcomes John Casey and <a href="https://nancylasar.org" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Nancy Lasar </a>for their joint exhibition, “Taking Up Space,” on view at the park beginning Friday, Sept. 25. This show brings together Lasar’s dynamic works in drawing, painting, printmaking and collage with Casey’s inventive rust-patinated metal sculptures, exploring how art inhabits, transforms and converses with the spaces around it.
An opening reception will be held on Saturday, Sept. 26 from 3 to 5 p.m. This event is free and open to the public.
