Willowbrook, Illinois resident Eric Baumbach has spent the last several years contributing to his community through his work with several nonprofit organizations and volunteer groups. While attending high school, Eric Baumbach packed meals for Feed My Starving Children and participated in street clean-up efforts in his Willowbrook neighborhood. He also initiated a food drive for Soldiers' Angels and won the Crystal Wings award for his efforts to aid wounded and deployed military members.
He has continued to help others as a member of the Alpha Phi Omega service fraternity (APO), holding various leadership positions that have allowed him to support both the community and his APO brothers. Among other roles, he currently serves as APO's Director of Finance.
In addition to his charitable and fraternity-related activities, Mr. Baumbach held a lifeguard position for three years at the Five Seasons Sports Club in Burr Ridge, Illinois, where he facilitated a safe swimming environment for club members. He also worked seasonally as an assistant coach for Cass District 63 Basketball Camp and as a warehouse associate at Follett Bookstore while maintaining his job in Burr Ridge. Today, he attends the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where he expects to graduate with a degree in accountancy and finance.
