<h2>Hills Are Alive 5K/10K Race Returns May 30</h2>
The City of Rolling Hills Estates invites the community to participate in the Annual Hills Are Alive 5K Run/Walk and 10K Run on Saturday, May 30, 2026.
The event will begin at 8:00 a.m. at Ernie Howlett Park, where participants will start and finish a scenic course through the City’s bridle trails. The route offers a unique opportunity to experience the natural beauty and rural character of Rolling Hills Estates.
<h3>Registration</h3>
Registration is now open for the 2026 race.

Standard Registration: $40 (April 1 – May 29 at 8:00 p.m.)
</li>
<li>
Day-of Registration: $45
</li>
</ul>
<h3>Awards</h3>
<ul>
<li>
Overall first-place male and female finishers in the 5K and 10K will receive plaques
</li>
<li>
First-place finishers in each age division (male and female) will receive medals
</li>
</ul>
<h3>Packet Pick-Up</h3>
Participants who register prior to Friday, May 29 may pick up race packets at City Hall (Council Chambers), located at 4045 Palos Verdes Drive North, on Friday, May 29 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Participants who register on May 29 or the day of the race may pick up their packets at Ernie Howlett Park on race day.

Residents and visitors of all fitness levels are encouraged to attend. Beach Cities Symphony presents Artists of the Future on Sunday, May 31, 2026 at Redondo Union High School Auditorium, 222 North Pacific Highway, Redondo Beach, CA&nbsp;9027.&nbsp; The concert begins at 5:00 pm and the Pre-Concert Lecture starts at 4:15 pm. Four exceptional 2026 scholarship winners from the Music Teachers' Association of California--South Bay Branch--will perform works by Grieg, Sarasate, Bériot, and Lalo.
