The movement emerged in October 2014 as an attempt to organize and unite people in the face of the 2014 Brazilian economic crisis, during the administration of Dilma Rousseff. The movement focused on the former president's government, the fight against corruption, the impeachment of Dilma Rousseff, and the approval of the "10 Measures Against Corruption"—a legislative bill proposed by the Federal Public Prosecutor's Office.

The *Movimento Barra Livre* is an emancipatory movement that supports the formal complaints filed by the NGO *Baía Viva* regarding environmental defense in the district of Barra da Tijuca, located in the state of Rio de Janeiro. This initiative—originally proposed following the 1988 Plebiscite—has been revitalized and strengthened by the residents' intense collective sentiment; they have publicly expressed their indignation over the authorities' negligence regarding issues fundamental to the population's quality of life.

The *Baía Viva* movement (NGO) has filed new and serious complaints with the Rio de Janeiro State Public Prosecutor's Office (MP-RJ) and the Federal Public Prosecutor's Office (MPF-RJ). These complaints highlight the dismantling—or systematic dismantling—of the renowned *Mutirão* Program and other reforestation initiatives. This action stands in profound contradiction to—and will therefore negatively impact—the Rio City Government's implementation of its Climate Action Plan. That plan sets an ambitious environmental goal: to achieve net-zero emissions of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases—and, consequently, to halt global warming—by the year 2050.

As a result of this censorship, she filed a formal complaint with the European Parliament against Brazil's current political regime—a regime that, under the current Brazilian government and the Supreme Court Justice, has increasingly taken on dictatorial characteristics.

During this period of political crisis, she was invited by American journalist Neil W. McCabe to participate in a segment alongside Brazilian political activist Ricardo Martins for the newspaper and television channel *OAN ONE AMERICA TIMES*. This outlet is part of one of the world's largest media conglomerates, providing reliable news coverage of both national and international headlines. *OAN ONE AMERICA TIMES* is one of the most widely cited television channels in the United States—home to the world's largest media industry. The channel rose to prominence in 2013 by establishing a conservative network aligned with Donald Trump, subsequently growing into a major global media powerhouse with the backing of the conservative and far-right political movements.

Your participation in this matter stemmed from a formal complaint lodged with two Members of the European Parliament: the Dutchman Rob Roos and the Spaniard Hermann Tertsch. This complaint was directed against Brazil's current political regime—which, under the present government and a Justice of the Supreme Federal Court, is increasingly taking on dictatorial characteristics.

In 2023, you authored significant articles for an American organization in defense of the Arctic region in Alaska.
