Join antique car clubs HCCA, AACA, VSCCA, and the CSCC, at Pequot Library for a display of literary and automotive art unlike any other. This one-of-a-kind event showcases select antique automobiles, race cars, Kustoms, and classics — from brass cars to vintage race cars and more — on the library front lawn, alongside modern sports cars in the lot.&nbsp;

About our car club partners The Horseless Carriage &amp; Antique Automobile Clubs of America have been preserving, restoring, and driving automotive works of art — keeping the hobby alive through community shows, car tours, and one-of-a-kind auto experiences since 1951. The Vintage Sports Car Club of America aims to preserve and exercise vintage racing cars on race tracks like Lime Rock Park in CT, and has been doing so since 1958.&nbsp; The CT Seaport Car Club was established in 2009, and represents a wonderful blend of all car ages and types, from early brass-era to high-performance post-war vehicles.

Saugatuck Rowing and Fitness Club

First Folk Sunday is back with Suzanne Sheridan at the mic. On August 2, Sheridan will be joined by Bob Cooper on keyboards and Howard Kesten on percussion to bring you a very special tribute concert to a very special songwriter – Cheryl Wheeler. 
You may not be familiar with Cheryl, but you have probably heard her music. She is very respected as a songwriter by her peers and her songs have been <a href="https://cherylwheeler.com/albums/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">covered</a> by artists as diverse as Peter Paul and Mary, Kenny Loggins, Garth Brooks, Suzy Boggus, Melanie, Bette Midler, Kathy Mattea, and Holly Near. Suzanne Sheridan is taking this opportunity to share her love of Cheryl’s music with you.
What makes Cheryl Wheeler’s music so appealing to so many diverse audiences is her ability to make you cry one minute and laugh hysterically the next. Cheryl's songs are often emotional portraits of people, leaving you with the impression that you know the characters. You find yourself being dragged into the song rather than standing outside and observing. On her CD “Sylvia Hotel” is a song titled “But the Days and Nights Are Long.” The first line of that song is “Life is short but the days and nights are long.” She writes about New England, her neighbors, her surroundings, her time on the road, and most of all about relationships. Then she flips the coin and writes hilarious situation comedies. Suzanne will be singing the comic song "Potato" which is set to the tune of the Mexican Hat Dance. 
All First Folk Sunday concerts are at the Saugatuck Rowing Club at 521 Riverside Avenue in Westport. Doors open at noon and the music starts at 12:30. The venue is handicapped accessible and there is ample parking on the premise and across the street at 518 Riverside Avenue. Get ready to unleash your inner artist while you create and sip in a beautiful, relaxing&nbsp;environment!
Beginner friendly guidance and tips will be offered, including painting techniques and floral painting demos by Lauren.
Whether you come alone or with friends, it’s the perfect way to relax and unwind and have a great time. Price includes all necessary painting supplies, your own 8x10” canvas, and lite Kawa Ni fare.
