The Falmouth Public Library – Main Branch, Young Adult Services, is pleased to announce that we will be holding “one-shot” Dungeons and Dragons campaigns on the regular. A “one-shot” campaign is a 2 or so hour long campaign that players of all experience can enjoy without the commitment of a long term campaign. Our first one-shot campaign is titled “The Wild Sheep Chase”…

When the party’s attempt to grab a rare afternoon of downtime is interrupted by a frantic sheep equipped with a Scroll of Speak to Animals, they’re dragged into a magical grudge match that will test their strength, courage and willingness to endure baa’d puns. Will our heroes be able to overcome a band of transmuted assassins and an extremely bitter apprentice packing dangerously unstable magic items? There’s only one way to find out…

The first one-shot will be held on Wednesday, May 27th, from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at the Falmouth Public Library – Main Branch in the reference room. A few things to note…there will be several pre-made characters for beginners or anyone looking to change up their game play! If you’d like to use your own character, our master of the dungeon has asked that they are level 4, use standard array to allocate stats, use pencil and paper and the 2024 player’s handbook. That sounds like a lot of detail so please feel free to reach out with any questions!!

“The Wild Sheep Chase” is one of our first one-shots. There will be more to come! Registration is required as there are limited seats at the table.
