Lynn Patton, Neighbor

I am a BSN-prepared Nurse with a Master's in Health Care Administration and certified in Veteran's behavioral health. I have been married for 29 years and I am mother of 4 children. One son is 28 and married, working on his PhD in computer science; one son is 20 working on his automotive technology degree; and our daughter is in 8th grade at KMS and loves to dance. Our second son, SGT Matthew S Patton took his own life at age 23 after suffering several mental health problems post-deployment. We have decided to help Soldiers and Veterans improve their mental health through education and advocacy by starting the Matthew Patton Foundation. However, since that is a time consuming process, we are concurrently engaging in small projects like collecting International phone cards for Soldiers from Matt's former brigade who are currently deployed to Afghanistan, so they can call home frequently.
