A day of beauty, inspiration, local art, and garden charm returns to the Historic Niles District

CA — On Sunday, April 26, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, the Historic
Niles District will bloom with color, creativity, and community spirit
as it hosts the Niles Wildflower, Art &amp; Garden Show along Niles
Boulevard.
This beloved&nbsp;springtime event invites visitors to experience the beauty of Niles in
full bloom while enjoying local art, garden inspiration, and the warm,
welcoming charm that makes the district so special. Set against the
unique backdrop of one of Fremont’s most historic neighborhoods, the
event offers a chance to slow down, stroll the boulevard, and take in
the sights, sounds, and simple joys of spring.
The&nbsp;Niles Wildflower, Art &amp; Garden Show is a free community event on

Niles Boulevard, designed to bring together residents, visitors,
artists, and garden lovers for a day that celebrates both creativity and
connection. Whether attending for the first time or returning as part
of a yearly tradition, guests will discover a district alive with
seasonal beauty and small-town character.
For&nbsp;many, one of the most anticipated parts of the event is the Optional

Garden Tour, a ticketed experience that offers a closer look at the
beauty and inspiration found in Niles gardens. Each year, the tour draws
people from near and far—some coming for the first time, others
returning again to admire the care, imagination, and heart that local
gardeners have poured into their outdoor spaces.
The&nbsp;Garden Tour is more than a look at flowers and pathways. It is a chance

to step into living spaces that reflect personality, dedication,
creativity, and peace. It often leaves visitors not only inspired, but
moved.
Advance Garden
Tour tickets are $15, and tickets purchased the day of the event are
$20. Advance tickets are available at My Friends &amp; I, Keith’s
Collectibles &amp; Books, and online at www.niles.org.
Organizers
are also inviting home gardeners in the Niles area to consider becoming
part of this special tradition. Those who would like to have their
garden showcased on the tour are encouraged to contact the Niles Main
Street Association. Sharing a garden is not about perfection—it is about
offering inspiration, opening a gate to beauty, and helping create a
memorable experience for the community.

the art to the gardens to the spirit of the boulevard itself, the Niles
Wildflower, Art &amp; Garden Show is a reminder of what people are

This 90-minute workshop for parents and caregivers focuses on the social-emotional competencies — self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision-making — that form the foundation for workplace readiness.

In a January 2025 Education Week feature, Google's global head of education impact, Jennie Magiera, named these exact CASEL competencies as traits her teams prize, noting that Google values social-emotional skills as much as technical talent.¹ Microsoft's vice president of education, Paige Johnson, added that the top skills needed to navigate complexity and change in the age of AI remain uniquely human.¹ These "durable human skills" also underpin the capabilities the World Economic Forum's Future of Jobs Report 2025 identifies as essential for tomorrow's workforce, including resilience, flexibility, creative thinking, and lifelong learning.²

A swanky evening for a cause that’s the bee’s knees, proceeds will sustain the Foundation’s assistance programs which provide post-surgical products and services for underserved breast cancer patients.
The Roaring 20s theme will be woven throughout the evening: specialty Prohibition cocktails (non-alcoholic will be available) will be served on the Giggle Water Garden Patio where the Mission Gold Jazz Band will keep the party hopping!
