Chef Marco Barrila grew up in Messina, Sicily. After 20 years of working for the rich and famous cooking the highest standards of cuisine, he looked around and said to Sheila, his love, "we are in Long Island and surrounded by beautiful land and sea that is full of resources." As he began to reminisce of his childhood memories, he realized more that the East End was very similar to his native homeland of Italy and that it was the perfect place to create his first friggitoria di pesce. A place where he could express the art of cooking seafood typical of the Mediterranean. Using authentic and old reicpes and techniques taken from his ancestors, it was then that Chef Marco decided to create a place that everybody could come and enjoy. With the times changes and evolution in cooking, we can now also enjoy the art of frying with advanced oils and non-trans fat and cholesterol free, making frying light and healthy for our good health. All of our dishes are prepared from scratch and to order any way our customers like.
