An Alice &amp; Mad Hatter Tea Party!


Join us for a whimsical tea party that's fun for all ages! The C3 Bar will be stirring up some mad "tea-quila" specials for the grown-ups to enjoy responsibly. Meanwhile, snacks will be shared by none other than Alice and the Mad Hatter themselves—so bring your appetite and your sense of adventure!
Tea will be poured continuously until 4:13 PM, because who says tea time has to be punctual? Don your best hat or your quirkiest smile and prepare for a delightfully mad afternoon! Dress up encouraged albeit not required.

Join us at&nbsp;Commas Food Hall&nbsp;in&nbsp;Silver Spring, MD&nbsp;for pretty lettering! Whether you’re a stationery nerd, DIY Bride-to-be, or just a crafty individual, you’ll be introduced to modern calligraphy with a pointed dip pen and ink in this workshop. We will cover all the basics and prepare you to add those unique lettered details to your snail mail, wedding paper goods, home decor, and more! The perfect crafty night out!
Class includes 1.5 hours of instruction and demonstration, our beginner’s calligraphy kit (two nibs, black ink pot, 2 letter guides, tracing paper, and straight pen holder), and all materials to write on. Everything is yours to keep at the end of the workshop!

Discover how to create real inner peace with tools you can use every day. This workshop will teach simple but powerful methods for centering your mind, interrupting mental noise, reducing overwhelm, and accessing a deeper sense of ease.
In honor of the International Day of Yoga, Kelle will also guide participants through gentle yoga exercises, mindful reflection, and practical tools to help create a personalized calm-building routine. Participation in the yoga exercises is optional.
Please bring your yoga mat if you would like to participate in the yoga portion, and come ready to relax, restore, and reconnect!

James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim take everyone's favorite storybook characters and bring them together for a timeless, yet relevant, piece... and a rare modern classic. The Tony Award-winning book and score are both enchanting and touching.
The story follows a Baker and his wife, who wish to have a child; Cinderella, who wishes to attend the King's Festival; and Jack, who wishes his cow would give milk. When the Baker and his wife learn that they cannot have a child because of a Witch's curse, the two set off on a journey to break the curse. Everyone's wish is granted, but the consequences of their actions return to haunt them later with disastrous results.
One of Sondheim's most popular works, Into the Woods is a musically sophisticated show with the opportunity to feature actors adept at dark comedy. Designers will especially enjoy highlighting the fantastical elements of this magical word.

In the summer of 2026, as our nation celebrates 250 years of independence, we gather at Colesville Presbyterian Church to explore the "Beloved Community"—Dr. King’s vision of a society fueled by justice, hope, and radical harmony.
This program is a musical reflection on the American journey. We begin with the quiet, internal yearning of "To Sit and Dream" and "The Road Home," acknowledging that the American dream is a path we are still walking. We confront the realities of our modern world in "The Spaces in Between Us," seeking to bridge the gaps with melody and understanding.
The concert culminates in a vibrant celebration of choral excellence. Through the sophisticated harmonies of "A Quiet Place" and the infectious, gospel-infused energy of "How Good!" and "Unity Song," we prove that our voices are stronger together.
Join us as we celebrate two and a half centuries of history, not just by looking back, but by singing forward—building a community where every voice is heard and every soul finds a home.

This summer we are thrilled to open our doors for a&nbsp;very special music camp. At CPC we believe music is one of the most powerful ways to build what Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. called the "Beloved Community"— a place where every voice is heard and every soul finds a home. We invite you to join us and to reach out and invite your friends, neighbors and coworkers. These programs are our gift to the wider community, and we want everyone to feel welcome.
For the Children: "Music Down In My Soul"
We’re offering young singers a unique blend of professional vocal training, choral works, and classic summer camp fun.
Students will spend the week developing their musical skills through choir rehearsals, music games, individual lesson, movement activities, and outdoor team-building experiences, culminating in a final concert on Friday afternoon.
<ul><li>Who: Students in Grades 3–8 (split by age groups).</li><li>When: July 13 – July 17 | 9 AM – 4 PM</li><li>Includes lunch, a camp T-shirt, and a Grand Finale Concert on Friday at 4pm followed by&nbsp;ice cream!</li><li>Fee: $35 per child. (Fee waived for anyone experiencing financial hardship)</li></ul>

Our puppy, Zo&euml;, was at Furbabies on Falls Road for daycare today and she seems to have escaped while playing outside, around 3pm. Roads around the kennel include Falls Road, Democracy Blvd, and Montrose Rd.
She is a 6 month old, Rhodesian Ridgeback, brown short hair, brown eyes, wearing a blue collar that says Crested Butte on it. She has big floppy ears and a crooked tail.
