Gaby Arancibia is a Patch editor covering Maryland's Anne Arundel, Baltimore and Montgomery counties.

She's a seasoned editor with nearly 10 years' worth of experience covering national and international news. From covering elections to geopolitical developments, Gaby has proven pivotal to the newsroom during major breaking news situations.

Gaby comes to Patch from WTOP, where she used her skills to highlight how decisions in the federal government impact residents across D.C., Maryland and Virginia.

As a native of Montgomery County, the Old Line State has a special place in Gaby's heart. She graduated in 2014 with a journalism degree from the University of Maryland, a journey that began years prior after she watched 2000's "Almost Famous" and decided journalism was definitely for her.

When she's not in the newsroom, Gaby can be found either looking for her next Lego build, trying out a new recipe, or at the local Barnes & Noble breaking her latest book-buying ban.
