Gavin Shea, Neighbor

I am That Dad but also a little more than that. I currently live in Pleasanton with my wonderful wife of 15 years and three young children (2 boys who are 9 and 6 and one girl who is 2).  When I am not enjoying the weekends with my family, I am Director of Sales for a division of a national bank.  I travel a lot and strive to manage the stress and challenges of my job but I often find that I draw my energy and inspiration from the time I get to spend with my family.

The inspiration for That Dad began appropriately with my application for the television show <strong>Wipeout</strong>. As I found myself characterizing life experiences on the application, I realized there was a part of me that was fading away as I got older and became a father.  I also realized this part of me that had very little inhibitions and a spontaneous attitude had a place in fatherhood.  Thus, That Dad and my website, www.iamthatdad.com was born and I’ve come to realize that the dad you want to be is the dad your kids need you to be.
