Gayle Turim Dickstein, Neighbor

A Brooklyn native, Gayle moved to Long Island in 1998 and spent almost ten years as a contributing writer and editor for the regional magazine <i>Distinction</i>. She enjoys writing personality and historical features and also has extensive experience covering health and medical topics. She was an editor of the first national magazine for people with arthritis. Her work has appeared in periodicals including The New York Times, Newsday, the Chicago Tribune,Bon Appétit and Americana; her online credits include FamilyCircle.com and EverydayHealth.com. She earned a B.A. in journalism from New York University and an M.A. in history from Brooklyn College.
