Kinusaiga: Treadless Quilting, Painting with Fabric, Fabric Tucking, fun no matter what you call it! This art is part quilting, part collage, and all creativity. This unique technique uses colorful pieces of fabric tucked into a prepared base to create a richly textured, quilt-like work of art, all without a single stitch.
Perfect for beginners, this relaxing, hands-on class is all about playing with color, pattern &amp; texture while learning something new. Everything you need is included, with two patterns to choose from and a variety of fabrics to make an art piece unique to you, just come ready to create.
And of course there will be mead! Mead tasting, mead cocktail, or glass of mead included in the ticket; NA beverages also available. Bottles and light snacks available for purchase.
The second pattern and tool are yours to take home when you love this art form. It's a great way to use scraps of material or upcycle old clothes.

Beginner-friendly quilling. The perfect new hobby for fall and winter evenings.
Start with a splash of watercolor—we’ve already taken care of that part—and add the curls.
Using a loose, hand-painted watercolor background as your canvas, you’ll learn the basics of paper quilling while creating a dimensional maple leaf card. We’ll work with just two or three simple quilling shapes, so it’s wonderfully beginner-friendly and easy to make your own.
Keep your leaf simple and airy, fill it with intricate curls and details, or land somewhere happily in between. No experience needed, no complicated techniques—just paper, a few curls, and a little creative freedom.
When you’re finished, mail it to someone who could use a bit of handmade happiness, or frame it and declare it art. We support both decisions.

You’ll create your own fresh holiday wreath using traditional evergreens, hand-harvested seasonal botanicals, and beautiful natural textures gathered from our farm. Each wreath is crafted on a reusable vine wreath, providing the perfect foundation for a one-of-a-kind holiday creation.
As you snip, arrange, and add your own creative flair, enjoy the cozy atmosphere of our tasting room and sip your way through the evening. Choose a favorite mead by the glass, try one of our signature mead cocktails, or make it an adventure with a tasting flight featuring five unique varieties from our collection.
At Sky River, the holidays are rooted in nature—with gardens, bees, and honey coming together to create experiences that are meant to be shared. Every wreath tells a story, and every sip begins with something grown, gathered, and crafted with care.
Leave with a bee-utiful handmade wreath, a happy heart, and memories of a magical evening spent with friends (or a new friend or two!).
Mead will be available by the tasting, glass, or bottle, with small bites available for purchase. Complimentary parking is available.

Monumental Talks returns to Everett for its third year on Friday, September 11 at 7:00 p.m. at the Everett Civic Auditorium, 2415 Colby Avenue. Admission is free, and no tickets or registration are required.
This year's theme is The Visible and Invisible Cost of Freedom. The program is presented in honor of first responders and veterans and is non-partisan, intended for all Americans.
The centerpiece is the Fireman's Prayer Anthem, the first anthem of its kind in American history. Composer Charles-Henri Avelange set to music a poem written in 1957 by A.W. Smokey Linn, a Wichita firefighter, after Linn and his crew responded to a fire in which three children died. Avelange first worked on the piece in a Mukilteo basement. It was recorded this year at Sony Pictures Studios with a ninety piece orchestra, the Los Angeles Master Chorale and the Los Angeles Children's Choir. Linn's daughter, Sharon Holycross, is traveling from Oklahoma to receive the Fireman's Prayer Award in person.
The evening also includes the presentation of colors by Naval Station Everett, remarks from Everett Mayor Cassie Franklin, a reading of the Fireman's Prayer by Everett City Council President and retired fire division chief Don Schwab, veteran speakers, the winner of the student freedom essay competition, and live performances with a band led by Jack Klitzman. Joe Marine, Mayor of Mukilteo, is master of ceremonies. Sanford Wright, MD, is producer and director.
