Opera at Florham is a dynamic professional, regional opera company in residence at Fairleigh Dickinson University in Madison, NJ since it’s inception in 1982. Led by acclaimed Artistic Director, David Wroe, Opera at Florham provides numerous stellar operatic performances each season including four Musicales and an opera in concert featuring professional artists and performed in the historic mansion, Lenfell Hall. Opera at Florham hosts the prestigious, annual Violetta DuPont Vocal Competition, offering generous prizes that have helped promote the operatic careers of many young artists who are now appearing on domestic and international opera stages. Holding a standard of dedication to the community, Opera at Florham provides engaging educational outreach programs to underserved schools in surrounding communities. As a non-profit organization, funding is provided by grants from Morris Arts Council, other music foundations, and generous supporters. With world-class operatic performances and a commitment to the community, Opera at Florham is one of the most vibrant and versatile opera companies in the region.
