The Renton Rowing Center is a community boathouse of the George Pocock Rowing Foundation. Located on the south end of Lake Washington we offer a variety of ways to get out and enjoy the water. Renton Rowing has been in existence since the early 80’s, however, with limited resources and minimal water access it was hard to get the program started. In the summer of 2013 Renton Rowing partnered with The George Pocock Rowing Foundation.

In June of 2014 we re-opened the doors to the City of Renton’s Cedar River Boathouse and presented to the community what is now known as the Renton Rowing Center. We are excited to bring not only rowing but kayak and SUP Board rental opportunities to the south end of Lake Washington. Our Adult Program kicks off in early June and soon after we will begin our Youth Summer Camps. Our youth team will use rowing as a means to develop new skills, learn how to work together, and challenge academic and athletic potential. We strive to provide full support – including scholarships, transportation, swimming lessons, and mentorship – to remove barriers that limit participation in youth rowing. We hope you are able to join us on the water!

The Renton Rowing Center is located at the Cedar River Boathouse between Boeing and The Renton Municipal Airport.
