Greenwich Mahjong Club’s five-week Fall Mahjong League brings American and Chinese Mahjong players together for evenings filled with clicking tiles, laughter, lighthearted competition and plenty of Mahjong.
Come with friends or come on your own. Meet new players, reconnect with familiar faces, share a few laughs across the table, and enjoy light refreshments along the way.
Because the best part of Mahjong isn’t always just the hand you’re playing — sometimes it’s who’s sitting across the table.

American Mahjong 101 – 5-Session Course by Greenwich Mahjong Club

Whether you’re a complete beginner ready to start with Chinese Mahjong — the style that started it all — or you already love American Mahjong and are ready to expand your Mahjong world, this course is for you.
Greenwich Mahjong Club’s Fast Track Chinese Mahjong 101 is a four-session course taught over two weeks, combining clear, approachable instruction with plenty of hands-on play. Learn the foundations of Chinese Mahjong, along with special hands and scoring, and discover a faster-paced style of play with no annual Mahjong card required.
Come experience Mahjong from a different perspective — its roots, its rhythm and a whole new way to play.
This is a 4-session course. Registration includes all four classes.

Curtain Call, Stamford, is holding open auditions for their October/November production of the classic musical, OLIVER. All roles are open for young artists and adults...a great chance to share the stage with your child, spouse or the whole family.&nbsp;Also, a great way for newcomers to the area to make new friends. Auditions for young artists age 10 through 16 will be Saturday morning, August 15: 10am to 12 noon.&nbsp;Auditions for adults (and anyone who can't make it Saturday morning) will be held Monday &amp; Tuesday, August 17 and 18, 7pm to 10pm.All auditions, rehearsals and performance will&nbsp;be at The Sterling Farms Theatre Complex, 1349 Newfield Ave, Stamford, CT 06905.
Curtain Call is Stamford's longest running and only, year-round nonprofit producing theatre. Curtain Call was voted Fairfield County's BEST LOCAL THEATRE GROUP ten years running in the Annual Readers' Poll of the Fairfield County Weekly and has received similar “BEST OF” awards from Stamford Magazine and StamfordPlus magazine for 2008 through 2023. On view this year in the Painting Gallery&nbsp;is&nbsp;Tomashi Jackson and Robert Rauschenberg: The Catch One. Featuring newly commissioned paintings by Jackson in dialogue with works by Rauschenberg from the historic site’s permanent collection and the Robert Rauschenberg Foundation, the exhibition contributes to a global slate of 2025–26 initiatives that reexamine Rauschenberg’s legacy, honoring his expansive creativity, spirit of curiosity, and commitment to change.
In the Sculpture Gallery,&nbsp;encounter&nbsp;the large-scale works by artists including John Chamberlain, Bruce Nauman, and Frank Stella that were collected by Philip Johnson and David Whitney.
Our expert educators will be available across the site to provide information and answer questions.

After photographing families throughout Fairfield County for more than 35 years, I continue returning to the Audubon because it never feels like a traditional photo session.
