Adventure awaits! Kalmar Nyckel, the Tall Ship of Delaware, offers public and private river cruises, day sails, deck tours, and educational programs from May through October each season. The Kalmar Nyckel Foundation is a non-profit, volunteer-based educational organization that built, owns, and operates Kalmar Nyckel, a full-scale replica of the Swedish naval ship that founded the colony of New Sweden in 1638. The Foundation hosts free community events plus school programs on ship and shore as part of its enduring educational mission. Explore the rich maritime and industrial history of Delaware at the year-round Copeland Maritime Center on Wilmington’s historic riverfront.
