Diana Johnson is a seasoned Mahjong player and teacher&nbsp;in American Mahjong and loves seeing the community of players grow. Join AR Workshop and Diana at Mad Capper Saloon and Eatery for a lesson in Mahjong. This class is perfect for beginners who've never sat at a Mahjong table or touched a tile before. In this 2 hour class, you'll learn tile identification and how to read the National Mahjong League Card. You'll learn the procedures of play and how to create winning hands, all while covering the essential rules of the game. The lesson will include how to deal and the procedure of the Charleston. During this lesson you'll play games with guidance along the way. You'll receive handouts that will guide your future play. The City of Arden Hills is celebrating its 75th anniversary with a community celebration on Friday, July 17, at Cummings Park. This free, family-friendly event will feature activities and entertainment for all ages.
With the theme "Arden Hills: Past, Present and Future," the celebration will highlight the City's history through historical displays, family activities, live music, local vendors and more. The event will also feature a classic car show, food trucks, the beloved Penny Carnival and a drone light show to wrap up the night.
Residents, former residents, businesses and visitors are invited to celebrate 75 years as a community.
Arden Hills: Past, Present and Future - 75th Anniversary Celebration 
Friday, July 17 
4 – 10 p.m. 
Cummings Park 
1219 Cummings Park Drive, Arden Hills
4 p.m. – Penny Carnival and family activities
4 p.m. – Car show, food trucks, vendor booths, historical displays and more
6 p.m. – Live music by Power of 10
9:30 p.m. – Drone light show
Admission is free. Food trucks will be on site with food, beverages and beer available for purchase.
