Main Street, the Glen Ellyn Historical Society presents actress and historian Leslie Goddard as Abigail Adams, wife of the second President of the United States, John Adams. &nbsp;Not only was Abigail a wife to the second President of the USA, but she was a true partner and committed patriot. &nbsp;Always feisty and outspoken she immersed herself in politics of the day even when she ran the family’s farm. &nbsp;In this living portrayal, Goddard as Abigail recounts her life including her call to John to “remember the ladies,” in the new nation. Abigail shares her opinion, displays her lively wit, and is a member of the greatest love story of all time with husband, John. The 12th Annual Glen Ellyn Historical Vintage Auto Fest is Saturday, June 6, 10:00 AM to 2:00PM. The location is 800 N. Main Street, Glen Ellyn in an area known as Stacy's Corners.&nbsp; The entire event is free, no admission charge.&nbsp; Come see the antique and vintage automobiles that introduced the auto industry in our country.&nbsp; Each&nbsp; entry is identified with a poster and everyone has the opportunity to vote for the People's Choice Award.&nbsp; Sharing the&nbsp; space with cars is the famous Stacy's Tavern Museum which is open to the public with no admission charge. In the Glen Ellyn History Center, also on the property, there are family craft activities, auto history lectures, and Stacy's Corners store to investigate historic themed items for sale.&nbsp; Registration of the&nbsp; Vintage Fest can be made by contacting Ex. Director Dan Schoeneberg at 630-469-1867 , e-mailing director@gehs.org, and checking in at the History Center, Tuesday through Saturday, 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM beginning May 26 to June 4. On the Fest grounds, Heavenly Hot Dogs Refreshment Stand is featured, and tours of Stacy's Museum are 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

The IKEA Family Kite Festival Soars Back for Its 39th Year at Veterans Park
Milwaukee, WI — Gift of Wings is thrilled to announce that the IKEA Family Kite Festival is returning to Milwaukee’s lakefront for the 39th consecutive year. Spring is finally here — it’s time to GO FLY A KITE!
On Saturday, May 23, and Sunday, May 24, 2026, join us at beautiful Veterans Park (1010 N. Lincoln Memorial Drive) for two days of spectacular kite flying, family fun, and breathtaking aerial displays. The festival runs from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Saturday and 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday.

 <li>Local favorites include Milwaukee’s own Mike Delfar, Paul Koepke, and Wow Pro-Style.</li>
 <li>Jean Lemire from Montreal will attempt the challenging feat of flying three dual-line stunt kites simultaneously.</li>
 <li>James Almas from Vancouver, the only person in the world known to fly four stunt kites at once, will showcase his incredible skill.</li>
</ul>
Free kite-flying lessons will be available throughout the weekend from the Kite Whisperers, including Jim Cosca.
Fun for the Kids
Kids won’t want to miss the Kids Mad Dash! The first 100 children to sign up and participate will receive a free kite, followed by the exciting sight of 100 kites launching into the sky at once.
Gift of Wings will have a wide selection of kites for sale, along with food and refreshments on site.
