Widely Grown is an Americana/AltFolk band from Jersey City, New Jersey. Widely Grown released their debut album in the summer of 2022 and toured 9 states to follow. The Widely Grown boys are known for their energetic live performances that contain their unique blend of rock, country, grass and soul. 2023 saw them travelin’ again, performing at the Barefoot Country Music Festival, Maplewoodstock, touring through 6 states and performing for the legendary throw down at Miguels Pizza celebration in Kentucky. 2024 saw them release new music. 2025 they continued thier travels, gaining momentum to return to Schiff to inspire a whole new set of listeners. 
The Music in the Woods concert series is being held in a large outdoor Amphitheatre setting requiring guests to arrive by 3:30 pm to allow for the 30-minute walk uphill on irregular terrain to the venue. For those who purchase a ticket along with a handicap parking spot (free of charge), special parking instructions will be emailed upon showing proof of a "Handicap Placard". Parking at the Nature Center is limited, so carpooling is suggested. Guests may BYOB, snacks, and pillows for your comfort. Those on foot entering from Brookrace, ride-ins on bike, and vaccinated, friendly dogs on leash are always welcome. However, advance ticket purchases are required. Current Member fee is $20. Schiff membership and MITW ticket bundle pricing are $65. Non- member fee is $25. Children under the age of 5 are free. Outdoor events occur shy of rain or thunderstorms. Refunds will be processed automatically in the event of cancellation.

Join us for a unique fusion class designed to nourish the soul. During the first portion of the session, harpist and yoga instructor Kristy Chmura will guide you through breathwork exercises. During this portion you will use the harp as a physical tool to deepen your connection to your breathing and focus your mind on the present moment, opening a pathway to mindfulness. No musical experience is required—simply bring an open mind to explore the tactile sensation of plucking harp strings while being soothed by the live, peaceful music of master harpist, Merynda Adams. In the second half of the class, the mind-body connection continues with a guided series of basic yoga asanas. This combination of standing and floor poses focuses on creating internal balance, all while you are serenaded by the gentle sounds of the harp. Come join us to reconnect with your inner self. For the first time, the gates of one of New Jersey’s last working heritage cider mills and orchards will open for an intimate evening of discovery and connection. Experience the charm and authenticity of Hacklebarney Farm, a fifth-generation family farm rich in agricultural tradition and heritage while supporting the mission of the Schiff Natural Lands Trust.VIP Experience – $350 each The immersive VIP experience begins at 6:00 pm, taking guests on an interactive journey through three educational and sensory opportunities rooted in land stewardship, food systems, and artisanal production, followed by cocktails and live music prior to dinner service in the orchard consisting of a three-course locally sourced seasonal menu crafted by chef Zach Fabian. The Conservation and Stewardship Committee welcomes your involvement in helping to maintain Schiff's trails, open space, and buildings. Giving back to the local nature preserve that you enjoy on a regular basis can be very satisfying... Each work session provides community members a 2 hour opportunity to work side by side with Schiff staff and Board members in a variety of hands-on land stewardship projects. Depending on the season, we may be clearing trails, removing invasive species, planting native trees and shrubs, conducting building repairs, restoring fences and bridges, or raking out the Native Garden. Volunteers (16 and under with a parent) are encouraged to dress for the weather, wear sturdy shoes, bring sunscreen and bug spray as appropriate, and bring a beverage and snack in a backpack for hands free walking. Meet us at the Nature Center and bring garden or work gloves. Tools provided by Schiff. Volunteers are asked to sign a waiver, provide photo release, and may bring and use their own tools if they prefer. Please pre-register online so we can plan projects accordingly.
