<h3>LIVESTRONG® at the YMCA: Partners in Healing</h3>
Cancer is a life-changing disease that takes a tremendous physical and emotional toll on those affected. LIVESTRONG® at the YMCA supports cancer survivors and their families through its no-cost program that provides opportunities to engage in physical and social activities focused on strengthening the whole person.
<h4>Benefits of LIVESTRONG at the YMCA:</h4>
<ul><li>Free, 12-week Y membership for the participant and their family</li><li>Fitness Assessment</li><li>Two 75-minute classes each week</li><li>Small group setting (8-10 participants)</li><li>Full access to YMCA facilities, including Kids Corner babysitting services</li><li>Designed for adults who are undergoing or who have completed their cancer treatment</li></ul>
<h4>Join LIVESTRONG at the YMCA</h4>
This program is open to all in our community. To begin the LIVESTRONG at the YMCA program participants should:
<ul><li>Have a strong personal desire to enroll in the program</li><li>Personally commit to attending all classes</li><li>Consult with their physician prior to joining the program</li><li>Permit Y Wellness Staff to call their physician or person giving treatment when necessary</li><li>Obtain medical referral and waiver</li><li>Complete YMCA paperwork and screening questionnaire</li></ul>

Session Dates: September 29 – December 16
Monday and Wednesday from 6:00PM - 7:15PM
Advanced registration is required as class size is limited and given that a doctor’s clearance is required. Enrollment decisions are made individually and confidentially.&nbsp;

<h1>ENHANCE® FITNESS</h1>
<h3>MODIFIED INTENSITY. MAXIMUM RESULTS.</h3>
EnhanceFitness is a fitness class that meets three times a week for 60 minutes. The class focuses on strength, flexibility, balance and cardio endurance. You’ll move at a pace that is comfortable for you – it’s never more than you can handle. EnhanceFitness uses both aerobic and strength training exercise, which have been shown to reduce the incidence of disability by 43% over 18 months in older adults who suffer from arthritis*. The group support will help keep you motivated.

Bart’s Challenge! Take the cause-driven challenge! Register today for the YMCA’s annual BART TALLOEN CHALLENGE featuring SIX timed exercises (planks, mountain climbers, sit-ups, regular &amp; declined push-ups, chin-ups). Compete against yourself or with others by completing the exercises in the shortest amount of time. The divisions include individual, pairs, and teams of four. Special prizes for the winners, and all competitors receive a T-shirt and medal!
