Girl Scouts gives girls a place to be themselves, make new friends, try new things, and build confidence along the way. From dancing and exploring the stars to helping others and discovering new interests, Girl Scouts gives girls opportunities to learn, grow, and have fun together.
What Girl Scout opportunities are available?
There are new Girl Scout opportunities forming in Manhattan! A new kindergarten troop is currently getting started, and we are also exploring the possibility of forming an additional first-grade troop if there is enough interest and support. There are also a limited number of openings in some of the other grade levels. Come learn about the opportunities, meet other families, ask questions, and see what might work for your family.
Parents: Please stay for a brief informational meeting where you'll learn how to get your daughter involved, what local troop opportunities are available, and how you can support her Girl Scout experience.
Girls: Fun activities will be provided while parents attend the meeting!
Whether you're completely new to Girl Scouts or have been curious about getting involved, this is a great opportunity to learn more. You don't need to make a commitment to attend—just come see what's possible!
Take the first step toward friendships that last forever!

Come see what Girl Scouts is all about at our FREE Ice Cream Social on Saturday, September 19 at 2:00 p.m. at Haines Park in New Lenox!
Girls who are not currently Girl Scouts are invited to enjoy ice cream, meet new friends, and learn about the fun, friendships, adventures, and opportunities New Lenox Girl Scouts has to offer. Girl Scouts helps girls build confidence, make new friends, try new things, develop leadership skills, explore the outdoors, and discover what they can do!
We will have fun activities, crafts, and of course ice cream and popsicles!
Current New Lenox Girl Scout Daisies and Brownies are also welcome when they bring a non-member friend!
Parents are invited, too! Come learn how to get your girl involved, meet local Girl Scout volunteers and families, and discover the many ways you can help make Girl Scouts happen.
There is no cost to attend, but registration is requested so we have enough supplies for everyone.

A Celebration of Tucker is Tucker’s Doggie Delights’ annual two-day sales and community event, taking place September 12 &amp; 13 in New Lenox.
The weekend will include special sales, product demos, vendor representatives, goodie bags, and raffles.
Raffle ticket proceeds benefit local animal rescues, and one of this year’s featured raffle prizes is a full year of NutriSource dog food — one bag per month for 12 months, with the winner able to choose from across the NutriSource brand.

Laraway Road, New Lenox, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., on Saturday, Sept. 12, and we will shred them right in front of you!
We are also collecting food for the New Lenox Food Pantry, and would welcome donations of non-perishable/unexpired food items so we can keep their shelves stocked!
