Note: Organizers announced Thursday that the parade would be shortened due to the heat wave.Starting at 6:30 p.m., the City of Annapolis will host its annual parade on July 4, 2026, in the downtown area. The parade will kick off on Amos Garrett Boulevard&nbsp;and continue down West Street before making a left onto Calvert Street to St. John's Street.
"Marching bands, community groups, and vintage vehicles take over downtown," reads an announcement from the city.
The parade will be followed by a performance at 7:45 p.m. by the Naval Academy band. The&nbsp;concert takes place&nbsp;at the State House Grounds (100 State Circle).
A fireworks display at 9:15 p.m. over Spa Creek rounds out the night.
