Jessica Kolman, Neighbor

Jess has lived in the Pinole Valley for nine years and the Bay Area for 17.  She is currently developing an illustrated character brand called Heyfaces, which she sells on greeting cards and other products.  She is member of the Pinole Artisans, and often offers her Heyface greeting cards and stationery products for sale at the Pinole Farmers' Market. When not drawing, Jess writes for local publications, with a particular focus on promoting appreciation and stewardship of the Bay Area's diverse and unique native plants and wildlife.  She blogs about her experiences  gardening with native plants at http://heynatives.blogspot.com/.

When not drawing or writing, Jess might be found running or biking the streets and trails in and around Pinole.
