Wyld Market Collective

In this hands-on workshop, you'll learn the basics of leatherworking! Local artisan Tyson from Landmark Leather Co. will walk you through cutting, gluing, and saddle stitching a beautiful, minimalist leather cardholder.
You'll use Full Grain, fine Italian leather from Badalassi Carlo Tannery in Italy to craft a one or two color cardholder. You'll also learn about the basics of leather work, including design, selecting leather hides and thicknesses, and more!
You'll practice the following techniques as you create your cardholder: - Cutting leather panels after tracing a template with an awl - Burnishing edges - Glueing panels together - Trimming and sanding - Punching stitching holes - The saddle stitch - Finishing
All the neccesary tools and materials will be provided, so just come with your creativity, and get ready to learn a new skill! You'll leave class with a better understanding of the leatherworking process, and a new cardholder you've crafted yourself.

Step into the warm, honey-scented world of natural candle making with Silver Apothecary Co! In this hands-on workshop, you'll craft your very own pair of 4 oz. beeswax candles in beautiful glass jars. It's the perfect way to start getting in that cozy fall mood!
This isn't just about melting wax and calling it a day. We'll start by diving into the why behind beeswax candles. Discover what makes them the gold standard compared to soy or&nbsp;parrafin.&nbsp;You'll learn about the magic of aromatherapy and the Danish concept of hygge, especially perfect for creating cozy moments during the colder seasons. Plus, we'll explore how choosing beeswax aligns with intentional, sustainable living.
Then comes the fun part: scent selection!
Armed with fragrance blotters, you'll find your perfect scent. Whether you're drawn to something specific,, or you're searching for that elusive autumn vibe, you'll blend up to two fragrances to create something uniquely yours. Take your time! This is where the magic happens, and Jen is here to help you find that perfect scent story.
You'll leave with a pair of candles, perfect for swapping one with a friend who also took the class, or gifting for the holiday season! Plus, we won't judge if you just keep them to enjoy yourselves. You'll also leave with the knowledge to continue making your own natural candles at home, plus a deeper understanding of why beeswax matters for both your wellbeing and the planet.

Handcrafted Beeswax Candles with Silver Apothecary Co.

In this beginner-friendly class, you’ll learn how to transform fabric scraps into stunning, textured artwork using a Japanese-inspired technique known as Kinusaiga.
Instead of sewing, fabric pieces are carefully pressed into a backer board to build layered color, shape, and dimension - creating a mosaic-like design that feels a bit like painting with textiles. It’s part puzzle, part color play, and incredibly satisfying.
&nbsp;No experience is needed to create something stunning. We'll have all the materials, including original patterns for fall-inspired creations, and fabrics in a variety of colors and prints.
By the end of the workshop, you’ll leave with a finished framed piece that looks like an intricate textile painting, made entirely from tucked fabric scraps. Plus, you'll have the know-how to keep transforming spare fabric pieces into something beautiful.

 Meadows offers one of the basin’s most abundant displays of medicinal 
plants and berries, such as elderberry and thimbleberry.
Join
 Dr. Elena Roemer, L.Ac and Brian Wallace, Certified California 
Naturalist, as we explore the edible and medicinal plants of the Lake 
Tahoe basin through both Western herbal actions and Chinese medicine 
energetics, while weaving in local ecology, plant folklore, and seasonal
 rhythms. We’ll focus on learning how to truly see and relate to 
plants—how to identify them, understand their properties, and approach 
harvesting with respect and restraint. The walk includes a guided plant 
sit and discussion of ethical wildcrafting, as well as gaining a clear 
understanding of when to harvest, while inviting a grounded, embodied 
relationship with the living landscape.
Alpine Meadows offers one 
of the basin’s most abundant displays of medicinal and edible plant 
life, with beloved species such as elder, arnica, and thimbleberry 
thriving among open meadows and mountain slopes.
