She will describe alarming incidents that happened in the last few months when A.I. went rogue and exhibited troubling behaviors. The second part of the show will highlight the importance of children having collections such as stamp, coin, shells, rocks etc. The show will also air on Wed. Sept 30th at 10:30 AM. The Dangers of Artificial Intelligence for Our Children's Future

Join us for Shelton Day 2026 on Sunday, October 4th from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM at Veterans Memorial Park in Shelton!
Bring the entire family for a fun-filled day with something for everyone! Kids can enjoy pony rides, train rides, and a 3-Hour Large Group Bubble Show from 12:00–3:00 PM, along with many more fun activities throughout the day.
Come hungry and enjoy delicious food from a wide variety of food trucks, then stroll through the park and visit our many local vendors. After shopping, stop by the Drink Tent, grab a refreshing beverage, sit back and enjoy some great live music!
Live Entertainment: Lee-Ann Lovelace Band – 12:30 PM&nbsp; &nbsp;&amp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Eight to the Bar – 3:00 PM
Don't miss the Derby-Shelton Rotary Restaurant Raffle, supporting restaurants throughout Derby and Shelton! Ten prizes will be awarded, totaling $2,000 in restaurant gift cards. Raffle tickets are $20 each and can be purchased in advance at SheltonDay.org or at Shelton Day. The raffle drawing will be held at 3:30 PM during the event.

Southbury’s beloved Blues Café returns on Sunday, October 4 with an intimate co‑bill featuring acclaimed singer‑songwriters Meghan Cary and Shanna in a Dress. Held at the George Newton VFW Hall (150 Lee Farm Drive), the afternoon begins with a community potluck at 1 PM, followed by Hilltop Dawgs &amp; Friends from 1:15–2:30 PM. The main performance starts at 3 PM. This volunteer-run series is known for its warm, up‑close listening room and its commitment to supporting independent artists — all net proceeds go directly to the musicians. Join the Stepney Volunteer Fire Co. No. 1 Inc. for a fun-filled Bingo Night fundraiser on Saturday, October 17, 2026, at Station One, 88 Main Street, Monroe.
Doors open at 5:30 PM and Bingo begins at 6:30 PM.
We’re excited to welcome American Ninja Warrior’s Joe “The Weatherman” Moravsky as our celebrity Bingo caller!
The evening will feature 10 Bingo games, special games, gift card raffles, prizes, and Dad’s Grill Food Truck. Come hungry, bring your friends and family, and enjoy a great night while supporting your local volunteer fire company.
