Joan Burden, Neighbor

Before moving to the Vineyard 3 years ago I lived in Falmouth for 35 years. I owned "Abundant Harvest Natural Foods" along with my Dad for 25 years.  I retired in 2006.

If I am not watching my 2 1/2 year old granddaughter I am usually at my computer.  I have been blogging for 4 1/2 years.  www.joanharvest.wordpress.

I couldn't possibly list all the things I love to do because there are so many.  I love astronomy, books (I can't ever own enough of them), touring the country on Google Earth, genealogy, learning everything I can about medieval England (which requires many hours on the computer) and the list goes on.

I cook most of the meals for the family which I love.  The Food Network is my favorite station.

I have been divorced for 20 years from the Wasband (my name for the ex-husband).  Turns out the Wasband is my best friend. He is such a wonderful ex-husband. His girlfriend is now a good friend of mine and I am still very good friends with his ex-girlfriend.  Life is strange but so much fun.
