John Konior, Neighbor

I've lived in several areas of the U.S. and now call the Des Moines metro home.  Each move, each new city brings tons of learning experiences and new opportunities.  My current position, at the City of Urbandale, has offered the opportunity to learn much more about sustainability issues.  My biggest lesson learned is that little changes implemented locally can change global issues.  This is true for electric lighting and the need for new power plants to rain barrels and the impact of water quality in the larger watershed.
