John Macoviak MD, Neighbor

John Macoviak MD is a retired heart transplant surgeon currently living in the greater San Diego, CA area. He spent decades dedicating himself to cardiac research and heart health developments. Having attended George Washington University for both his undergraduate degree and his medical degree, this was a great honor for Macoviak.

A proud scholar and surgeon, John Macoviak MD went on to hold positions at several esteemed facilities and universities as a Professor, eventually leading him to be the first surgeon to perform heart transplants in Washington DC.

In addition to his research in heart transplants, John Macoviak MD created over 40 patents to improve cardiac devices. He's been featured in numerous publications and has spearheaded essential research projects all over the country. He even had the chance to serve as a consultant for NASA.
